Single-ply tracks are tested and proven to be comparable to two-ply tracks in strength, durability, and longevity. Many high-performance snowmobiles come with single-ply tracks as original equipment.

Embedded sharp-tip lug studs are highly durable, often outlasting the track itself. Their design is based on studded car tire technology, which has been proven to last over 10,000 miles, even on bare asphalt and on cars weighing over a ton.
Embedded sharp-tip lug studs provide traction and control comparable to conventional studding for 120" and 121" tracks with 84 to 96 studs. They add less than a pound of weight to the track, but tunnel protectors are recommended.
